If you're not a Hasher, you may have a difficult time understanding the "Red Dress Run". And if you don’t like beer or running, then, you will never get the Hash. The New York City Hash House Harriers is a mixture of athleticism and sociability, hedonism and hard work; a refreshing break from the nine-to-five routine. Hashing is an exhilaratingly fun combination of running, orienteering, and partying, where bands of Harriers and Harriettes chase Hares on four- to five-mile runs through the city, all in search of exercise, camaraderie, and good times.
Once a year, we require everyone to wear a Red Dress. What for? For no reason or support for or against anything. Just to have fun and get a reaction from people in the neighborhood. Actually, the NYC Hash is one of about two dozen cities around the U.S. and the world that have Red Dress Runs. Why don’t we meet up on September 6 @ 3pm at Club Rehab (25 Avenue B). Cost: $30 (Includes Beer and Food)
This group doesn't have any additional upcoming Meetups scheduled.
